Representation to national BMA committees is via Grampian representatives who will be pleased to recieve comments from Island based colleagues.
The consultant discretionary points process for the Northern Isles Health Boards is supported by Grampian BMA LNC and NHS Grampian. Any concerns or comments should be directed to the LNC.

Welcome -
The Grampian BMA Local Negotiating Committee (LNC) is recognised by NHS Grampian as the negotiating body for terms and conditions of service pertaining to doctors and dentists employed by NHS Grampian. The Local Negotiating Committee is made up of elected representatives from the medical and dental staff of NHS Grampian, elections take place every 3 years. Whilst the LNC is supported by the British Medical Association and the British Dental Association, it acts for all doctors and dentists employed in the NHS and all doctors and dentists are welcome to make representation to the LNC. Please feel free to contact one of the team or to come along to our meetings. The LNC meets regularly to consider areas of policies and procedures locally that may impact on the terms and conditions of medical and dental staff. Formal negotiating meetings are held with NHS Grampian management 6 times per annum.
